Azureus

The secret to getting Azureus to work was to enable UPnP forwarding on the Linksys and enable it in Azureus. Just forwarding the port normally didn't work. That's with the external and internal port the same on the Linksys, pointing to the private address. And now....no NAT error and now I have a blue face.

Freezing on the Triumph

Pope came up yesterday on the bike so we could ride around. We knew it was cold, and raining in a few places, but we looked at the radar and decided to go south down Lookout Mountain. Not only was it far from warm on the way there, and it was raining lightly most of the way, but it was snowing on the mountain. Not much, but enough to freak you out because you're on a motorcycle and it's snowing! So we went down "Scenic Highway" and thought we would never get to the road going down the mountain. But we finally did, and we stopped for hot chocolate at a gas station in Trenton to warm up and get gas. So then we sped up US11 because "it's cold at forty, and it's cold at 80, but it's only cold for half as long at 80." :)

And I cut back the hollies today. Severely. The one on the right kind of looks like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, but I'm sure it'll bounce back, just like the other one did a couple of years ago.

spring is here...and the rain

I noticed today coming up Newberry (after getting a bottle of RELAX) that everything seemed to start blooming last night. When I was cutting the grass yesterday, I noticed that the irises under the deck have flower stalks that came out of nowhere, and the tulips just started blooming yesterday. Today the irises around the neighborhood are blooming (but not mine), there are more tulips blooming, the dianthus, which has been trying to bloom for a couple of weeks, has five flowers now, and the verbena on the deck has has half of a cluster blooming today, . I just noticed last night that it was even going to bloom. I didn't expect it until at least June, so it's a pleasant surprise. :)
And it's raining again, so the new crabapple tree is getting some water without me carrying a bucket out there to it!

I decided to start a blog. I'm hoping that since I can't remember anything for any length of time, I can at least keep a log of the things I figure out and search them later if I remember that I forgot.
